Continuity of care
Care that gets sharper with every appointment.
Each appointment builds on the one before it. The plan gets more precise because it is revised against what has actually happened to you, rather than restarted from a generic protocol every time.
1.Every appointment adds to the picture
Symptoms, sleep, screening scores and what you have already tried are all recorded, so none of it has to be reconstructed from memory next time.
Visit notesSaved2.The plan is revised against that picture
Your clinician reviews the whole history before adjusting medication, therapy or routine — so a change is a response to what has actually happened, not a fresh guess.
Treatment planUpdated3.What works is kept, what does not is changed
Response is tracked between appointments using the same measures each time, which is what makes it possible to tell steady progress apart from a good fortnight.

Why EV Psychiatry
Modern psychiatry, without the friction.
Serious clinical care, arranged around the way people actually live — rather than around the way a hospital system prefers to run its diary.
Same-day and late-evening slots are part of the standard schedule, not an exception you have to ask for. Book online or by phone — both reach the same diary.
The initial appointment is a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation covering physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive and social factors — not a fifteen-minute triage.
Telehealth covers Florida, so care continues through a house move, a new job or a semester away without starting again with someone new.
Validated screening instruments and published guidelines sit behind the plan, and the plan is re-examined at each appointment rather than renewed by default.
A secure video appointment from a link — no app to install and no portal password to reset before you can be seen.
Who we care for
Care that fits the life you actually live.
What good care looks like depends on what else is going on. Treatment is shaped around that, not around a template.

Care that fits around a working day.
Early-morning and late-evening telehealth appointments, so being seen does not cost you a day of annual leave.
- Before-work and after-work appointment windows
- Medication reviews by video rather than a trip to the office
- Continuity if work takes you elsewhere in the state
How it actually works
Real care, in real detail.

Telehealth
Your own front room is a perfectly good waiting room.
Secure video appointments from anywhere in Florida. You get a link, you click it at the appointed time, and that is the whole process.
How telehealth works
Medication management
A review, not a rubber stamp.
Follow-up appointments long enough to look properly at whether a medicine is working, what it is costing you in side effects, and whether the dose is still the right one.
About medication management
Working together
Your therapist and your prescriber, reading the same notes.
With your consent we share the treatment plan with your therapist or GP, so the people involved in your care are not each working from a different half of the story.
Our approachConditions we treat
Specialist care across the conditions we see most.
How it works
From getting in touch to a first appointment.
Get in touch
Request an appointment online, or call the office and speak to someone. Both reach the same diary.
Tell us what is going on
A short, secure form before your appointment means your clinician has read your history before you sit down.
Your first appointment
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. You leave understanding what was found and what happens next.
Free ADHD self-assessment
Wondering whether it might be ADHD?
Work through a short, widely used screening questionnaire at your own pace. It takes a few minutes, costs nothing, and gives you something concrete to bring to an appointment. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a diagnosis.
Common questions
Frequently asked
Who does EV Psychiatry treat?
We provide psychiatric mental health care for people aged 16 and up.
Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can request an appointment directly. Some insurance plans ask for a referral before they will reimburse, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Care is available through secure telehealth across Florida as well as in person, and both are offered for every condition we treat. You can choose whichever suits you.
How quickly can I be seen?
Same-day and late-evening appointments are available, and we are currently accepting new patients. For urgent concerns, our team is available after hours.
What happens at a first appointment?
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation covering physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive and social factors. We then review and explain the results with you, and answer any questions before agreeing on next steps together.
How long are appointments?
A first appointment is a full diagnostic evaluation, so it is the longest one you will have. Follow-up appointments are shorter and focus on how treatment is working and whether anything needs adjusting. The office will confirm the length when you book, and will tell you in advance if a longer appointment is needed.
Can you prescribe controlled medication?
Yes, where it is clinically appropriate, including stimulant medication for ADHD. Prescribing controlled medicines is subject to state and federal rules — including requirements around in-person assessment and ongoing review — and your clinician will explain exactly what applies to your treatment before anything is prescribed.
Do you take my insurance?
Please contact the office with your coverage details and we will confirm what applies to you.
What if I am in a crisis?
EV Psychiatry is not a crisis service. In an emergency call 911. For free, confidential support at any hour, call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741.
